There are so many reasons why rabbits need homes: 

 

- owner abandons rabbit

- owner loses job, rabbit needs a financially secure place

- owner develops allergies

- Change in location, pets no longer allowed

- rabbit gets ill, owner can't afford care

- feral domestic rabbit found loose

- pet rabbit found abandoned in a park

- unexpected litter of bunnies born, set free because couldn't find homes

- breeder released bunny to rescue for rehoming

- unexpected litter of bunnies born, released to rescue for rehoming

 

So as you can see,  lots of reasons why rabbits need new homes.
